Orange County Private Investigator Reviews

There is a reason why our society absolutely needs a legal system. In some cases it is simply because two people – innocent in their own minds, just cannot agree. In these cases, investigators are needed to collect the facts so that if an agreement cannot be made between the parties, a judgment can be made on their behalf. In other cases, there is a protagonist and an antagonist. There are debtors, cheaters, unsettled divorce and paternity cases, stalkers, missing persons, business and financial disputes, and their relative victims. The world is full of information and this information is essential to a healthy and balanced justice system. Private investigators collect this information in an effort to assure that justice is served to every offender and their victims.  By Susie Anderson Newport Beach, CA

I am the mother of 3 teenage boys and I love it. I reside in South Orange County. I received my BA in Psychology. But, I took a detour and ended up in the real estate industry which led me to eventually being a contract processor. Yet, I feel that my studies in psychology have allowed me the ability to read and deal with people and have a bit more understanding versus another person. I love helping people and that landed me doing fundraising for our local elementary school for 5 years. In addition to that, I have played an active/community role in cub scouts, little league and other local organizations.   As I mentioned previously, I have a lot of time on my hands and am truly hoping to find a good fit doing something from home that I can enjoy and succeed in. I am a positive person and do not like drama.  I look forward to hearing back from you one way or another. As I answered your questions, I found myself becoming more and more excited for this opportunity.  Thank You for your time and consideration! By Samantha Ross

A private investigator is a neutral 3 rd  party hired by individuals, attorneys or companies (e.g. insurance companies).  Their main purpose, to put simply, is to help people by finding the truth.

A Private Investigator, or PI, gathers evidence which can help avoid becoming a victim (with any of the involved parties).  The evidence gathered is done so by surveillance such as personal/undercover, electronically or forensically, for instance.  Furthermore, they have access to public records/various databases.  They do anything necessary to obtain appropriate documentation or support for their cases and in doing so, helps preserve relevant evidence.  However, they do not have police authority.  Thus, they are still susceptible of facing criminal charges if they go beyond the scope of the law (e.g. no breaking and entering; no trespassing, etc.)  As a side note, a requirement of a PI is to have several years of work experience in law enforcement.  Plus, if licensed (as are you), they are allowed to carry a firearm.
With all that being said, it steers towards how society envisions a PI, that of excitement and mystery.  Our legal systems are overwhelmed and the runoff of criminals, fraudulent activities and scammers, for example, require the services of a PI.   Although a lot of information they collect can be obtained from public records by the average citizen, it is usually easier to hire a PI to act in anonymity or just pursue evidence with a variety of “tools” a PI may have over the average “Joe”.  In any case, their job is not always as exciting as one may think.  That is, a PI can spend more hours on the computer or in a courtroom than tracking down a cheated spouse, per say.  It has come to my attention, most recently, that PI’s have a variety of tasks they perform for cases they may take in. Below, are some examples and include long hours of research in one aspect or another:

  • Find missing persons
  • Conduct background checks
  • Due diligence
  • Fraud of all kinds (financial; internet; business)
  • Infidelity
  • International investigations
  • Workers comp
  • Service of process

In summation, a Private Investigator is someone who helps people find truth to their (legal) issues in their times of need. By Angie Morales
